From the mid 1980s comes this Bachmann CNW caboose model.  The tooling favors that of the defunct Lindberg line, later picked up by Mantua.  Bachmann offers this center cupola caboose under the wide vision label for few years in the '80s.  In addition to the CNW example, that same tooling was used for a New York Central model in Bachmann's line.

Chesapeake and Ohio
(No.1067)
The model displayed in the 1976 catalog is a yellow Wide Vision Caboose with the Chessie System logo.

From a 1980's Bachmann set made for Zenith.

Joining Bachmann's 36' Steel Caboose with Off-Center Cupola in 1976 is the 36' Wide Vision Caboose.  The model is shown available in '76 with seven roadnames and priced at $3.50.  Though specifics are not provided, Bachmann lists item 1069 as being an Assortment of Wide Vision Caboose models in what appears to be a dealer pack.
